Yes, I'll probably not draw The Voices completely separate from TLQ. While it's a neat idea, I personally like the idea of them sticking to TLQ. Unless something like HEA or PatD happens lmao. But they do have tiny visible traits to differentiate them. Maybe big in Stubborn's case, eventually. sowwy if you can't see them immediately ☆(・ω<)

Also about that notice? IIIIIIIIIII may or may not be able to make a new comic in a while, only because I need to do some commissions.

It’s just a much more interesting idea to me that there are so many clone troopers in the galaxy they could populate a country and essentially do, that they’re basically their own people who developed their own culture, they don’t need to be Mandalorian in any meaningful way. They’re never portrayed that way in main canon except with the smallest of evidence (Rex’s helmet design or whatever) and it drives me kind of nuts.

Jango Fett sure as shit did not think of the clones as Mandalorian or give a crap about them. You know who gives a crap? Each other. They decided they’re more than an army, they’re the only family they have. It’s a practically universal clone thing that they call each other brothers even though they’re technically not and that’s part of their specific culture.

Going by names they chose for themselves or earned instead of their numbers is part of their culture. So are words like “shiny” and “bucket.” They paint designs on their armor and commonly have identifying tattoos as part of their culture.

In main canon we do see that clones generally think of themselves as Kaminoan humans. Like so many SW species the Kaminoans are simplistically treated in canon as being practically synonymous with the profession they’re known for, cloning, which I think kind of resolves the confusion about how the destruction of Tipoca City and the cloning facilities in TBB is later discussed as a genocidal destruction of the whole species and their home. It really drives home that Kamino isn’t really Kamino without them. They’re the reason those places were built and the vast majority of the people on that world were clones. It’s not a great home to come from but it was a place mostly specific to them where they had each other, the only home they actually knew growing up, unlike the Republic they fought for or Mandalore.

People will get upset about poetry being a dying art and then will ignore almost all modern music with complex rhythm and lyricism because of classism and racism.

Like to say poetry isn’t dead they’ll have to admit that the best modern American poets are black people speaking in perfect iambic pentameter and critiquing the government.

Like don’t let your school lie to you poetry is supposed to be a spoken art form.

Some of the most famous poems have instrumental pieces to accompany them but they will literally go out of the way to not study songwriting as poetry.

Because if they do discuss someone like Hozier with W. B. Yeats they would then have to discuss Kendrick Lamar and Robert Frost and that would let you all know that those guys have more in common than they want you to realise and erase the myth that intellectualism is something only for the privileged.

Ngl the fact that the guidelines for shinigami eyes say that theyfab is not an anti-trans slur and thus not enough to mark someone as anti-trans and equates transmedicalist as being just as harmful as "tenderqueer" despite it claiming to support nonbinary people is uh. Yeah starting to kinda think this extension has overall been a net negative for the trans and queer communities and was always going to end up like this.

I went to a religious school for most of my life and yeah I agree private religious schools shouldn't exist but sometimes I hear things from jewish dayschools where I'm like... this is a totally different experience from what we spent our days talking about??? Like the equivalent for a zionist leaning education in the Islamic context would be like... salafi education and from the multiple Islamic schools I'm familiar with i don't think they even know the word salafi until graduating. Like idk i have issues with Islamic schools but it was at least not like that article i read...

Speaking as someone who was constantly late to school, I think punishing kids/teens for being late to school is stupid. Like, I get it. When they’re older, they can’t be late to work and stuff and they need to understand that. But majority of kids/teens are getting to school via their parents or someone else driving them or hell the school bus which is also driven by an adult. So when a kid arrives late and gets punished for it, all that’s happening is a child getting punished because the adult responsible for getting them there on time wasn’t successful. That’s not teaching the kid anything, that’s just annoying. Especially when, as a kid I was always ready on time and it was my parents I was waiting on and then in detention I’d be expected to write down a “what will I do better” that didn’t apply to me because I didn’t do anything wrong

I get that sometimes it will be the kids fault but I feel like those cases are few and far between and punishing a kid for the adults in their life is just counterproductive

I fear that as a professional hazard I have a deep love and appreciation for vestments. I have become know to decorate the wheels of my wheelchair to coordinate with the liturgical images and colors of the Christian Liturgical Calendar.

For Easter, I donned butterflies - a symbol of Christ’ resurrection and new life and for Pentecost, I chose doves - a symbol of the Holy Spirit.

That’s another post idea to file away - talking about the Liturgical Calendar, the various symbolic colors and images used in worship.

But for real, Thomas’ chasuble in this scene is gorgeous and I just want to give him a smooch. He’s so handsome. 🥹😭
